After waiting two years with legal aid for my divorce and then when i finally got a date it still didn't go through even though both parties were consentual I decided to go with DIY Divorce. It was such an easy process, I just filled out the form on line and they did the rest. They were very efficient and answered any query I had straight away, and were very informative and pleasant to deal with. Within 6 weeks I was divorced and able to move on with my life. I would recommend to any fair minded, employed, professional, law-abiding, tax-paying, working person male or female who finds themselves at the mercy (or lack of it) of Solicitors & Barristers employed by the other side to represent themselves in court and to use Irish Divorce Services to assiist with the Documentation and Court Proceedings. Remember it is never in the interest of Lawyers to settle matters quickly as they charge by the hour. The longer the dispute goes on the more they like it and encourage it. With Irish Divorce Services you can agree a fee in advance with no hidden extras. You can explain your circumstances in court to the Judge better than anybody else.

My experience of Irish Divorce Services is very positive. I found Marianne and Marie very professional, courteous and efficient at all times, they will talk you through each step as required and are always their to answer any concerns or queries you may have. From initial contact by e-mail to optaining a Divorce was approx 14 weeks (with Christmas 2011 in between) and the value for money is excellent especially in the current climate we are in. These things happen as they say. But even clearcut cases where both parties are agreeable adds up to high finance via the legal channels. In which case I'd have simply remained separated. If there are no contentious issues why would I have all my money sucked up by the great jargon factory when there are alternatives? A google search yielded this service which for me did exactly what it said on the tin. Yes I'd recommend it. Yes it's DIY but with accurate instructions all the way. The paperwork is what matters. Even the seemingly simplest thing has a nasty habit of not going to plan. A few incidental grenades were lobbed at me from across the border. Nothing major. Just inconvenient. Via the unwieldy legal old boys network I'd have generated exponential penalty points. Euro sign flashing red etc. No special offers in that department. I was half expecting an additional charge which thankfully did not arise. I think that's good business.

Thank you to the Irish Divorce Services for taking away the stress and anguish that comes with getting a divorce. I was separated from my ex husband for 13 years and because I under the impression that it had to go through a Lawyer I just couldn't face it as my legal separation, 11 years prior to that, was nothing short of a nightmare. It was after meeting someone special I decided to google "DIY Divorce" and immediately on seeing IDS's website I contacted them. My initial phonecall with them left me in no doubt that this was the way to go. IDS made everything so easy and more importantly the cost was more than affordable for me. On the day of the court, it was such a pleasure as I had 100% support with IDS. That was in November 2010 and I sincerely wish I had googled them years before that. Irish Divorce Services made a complicated and emotional situation managable by cutting out the legal interference that surrounds divorce in Ireland. The myth about the complicated legal process was dispelled and the divorce was made as amicable as possible with both parties understanding exactly what was going on without incurring exoribant legal fees. Taking that step towards Divorce always held a horror for me, as like so many others I felt that it was going to be a long, painful and drawn-out process. Contacting Irish Divorce Services, I discovered I couldn't have been more wrong. Every step of the process was dealt with, in a mature and matter-of-fact manner that I found quite refreshing. The speed at which things were done was amazing. There were no 'I'll get back to you!' or 'Leave it with me and I'll see what I can do' promises (that as we all know never get seen to). Instead everything was in the post next day. All paperwork was clearly explained and in a manner that I could easily understand. I had the option of personally contacting my spouse or doing so by registered mail. There was no pressure on me to do anything I wasn't comfortable with. From start to finish it took five months, and all for a price I could afford. The only horror stories I could relate to you are the ones I heard while waiting for my name to be called in the courthouse on the day my Divorce was granted, and unfortunately they were people who had been on the divorce treadmill for years. I can say without hesitation my experience with Irish Divorce Services was the quickest, least painful and most rewarding of any legal dealings I have had over the years. Thank you to one and all.
